First of all I would like to thank Derek Makekau for spending all this time and energy to make a good skimboarding magazine.
Then I have to say that I am pretty stoked on the picture p 132-133 for a couple of reasons: First being the person who took this picture is someone that helped me, my brother and skimboarding in general where I grew up (in France). He used to drive us around, to skim some good waves and to follow the contests of the "Skim Tour" which he was also helping organizing. He recently came to visit California and then Cabo San Lucas (for the contest) with Regis from Batards du Break . That morning, to be honest I really wasn't pulling anything good while Morgan Just kept getting good siders constantly... I kept trying and finally got that sider connection at Solmar and popped an air, only Jacques Bédex was still taking pictures at that time and pushed the trigger... Thanks Jacques for still believing I would do something cool that morning ;) and for all the support throughout the years.
In the same time I would like to thank Franky Gut of course (I know you re watching!), and the Mauna Kea Surf Club
