Yesterday morning, 9 am my phone rings: Text message from Joe Bailey: "Aliso Bound. Right Now!". Got couple of beers the night before at Brussels Bistro, but I still get up fast and head down to South Laguna. Got couple of more texts from Joe so I speed up a little bit. It was indeed looking amazing, high tide Aliso only works when the slope and swell is right. Matt McCollum, Will Wright and Mike Yunich were already skimming, Will actually had a really really sick barrel while I was changing, that motivated me to get out of my hangover and get in the water :) A photograph Marvin Smith came to me and gave me his card to send me some pictures that are right below, Joe got some really good shots and keeps the goodies for his Skimboard Magazine. Later on, Mister David Levin shows up, with Tommy D'Eliscu's high tech gear. Kinda chilly but Dave jumped in with the full suit and the Water Housing Camera. He actually already edited a nice HD video of Andy Chiavetta and I. For the little story we also saw James Bond scuba-diving in the shore break chased by an hungry Seal... Enjoy, I'm off the beach for round 2 right now!!!
