First day for the contest. According to locals, the spot worked really well at high tide middle of last week. Unfortunately sandbars moved and left only small reforms on shore to play with. Still really enjoyable to skim in such warm water and nice weather. There's good vibe on the contest site. I am really stoked to see people I haven't seen for a little while and hang out. Contest is over for me, congrats to teammates Morgan Just, and Jon Howell for making it to the quarter finals tomorrow. Shuv-on also won her first heat in Women Pro. Hopefully conditions get little better for the rest of the contest. Tonight, there's a video premiere somewhere close the contest site where everybody's meeting up, should be fun. Yesterday I got the chance to hang out downtown Saint Augustine, really nice town.
