Good size swell and even some siders at Aliso made the contest really interesting... Contestants were able to showcase their skills in really good skimboarding conditions. Nolan Rodgers who was riding very well throughout the competition takes first place in the beginner division. Contest directors Paulo Prietto and Steve Taylor, this time also organised a Professional Skim Off. 12 Pros, including Bill Bryan, Sammy Stinnet, Blair Conklin, Trevor Stanaland, Teddy Vlasis, myself and more entered a little contest. One hour, all riding the same time, and whoever takes the best waves wins. At the end Sammy Stinnet (2011 UST Champion) takes it with an unbelievable in and out after working a pretty hard sider. Biggest wave of the heat, and complete awesome ride, congratulations to Sam. Thanks to Tex Haines for the pictures, and props to organisation crew, contestants and parents present.
