October 2nd and 3rd was held the 8th and last UST (United Skim Tour) contest of the season, at the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. Usually this contest is a couple of weeks later in the month of October, but this year they had the authorization to have it earlier, which helped to get good conditions a lot. Usually little cold and windy, it was this time, warm and glassy. During the week end, we were able to give a good idea of what skimboarding is. I would say overall, UST contests got pretty lucky in the weather and waves conditions in 2010. Bill Bryan who already had enough points to win the overall UST even before this contest, once again takes first place. He won every contest except 2 on the tour this year. Congrats to him, and thanks to Aaron, Steve, Hank and Main Street Surf Shop for organizing this event.
