Toshi and 2 of his friends from Japan stopped by the shop today, and taught me some Japanese writings. He wrote my name, or nickname, literally "Matsu". All the crew from Victoria Skimboards distributor in Japan "Skim One" is in town too and I met up with all of them at Tenth Street, south Laguna, yesterday morning for really fun session. Also skimmin' there were Lucas Gomes and friends from Brazil, and Steve Taylor from the US (and all over Europe). Good times. Every time I met people from Japan I've always been amazed how nice, remarkably humble, respectful and the most important thing extremely happy and constantly smiling they are. That really makes me want to visit the country for sure. Today: Big up to Japan.
